Hello! I appreciate you taking time to learn more about me and what I do!
Dr. Shanna grew up in the North Austin/Pflugerville area. She has always had a passion for helping animals. She has had a special love for horses from a young age and always felt a unique connection to them. She took every opportunity to be around them to learn how to better connect and bond with them.
After working at a small stable in high school and then a larger competitive equestrian center for several years after graduation, Dr. Shanna’s passion for horses grew even stronger. Her love for animals of all species and sizes led her to look for work that continued to allow her to be around them every day. She was blessed to work at a veterinary office for five years, which offered her the opportunity to see how veterinary medicine cares for small animals with their health needs.
Dr. Shanna then began to feel a desire to work in human healthcare, so she became a Certified Surgical Technologist. She enjoyed working in the hospital Operating Room for over twelve years with a specialty focus in Neurospine procedures as well as Endoscopy. After seeing so many sick people being shuffled through the system, she became determined to do something that would positively influence people’s health without just covering up the symptoms with medication or resort to surgery. This led her on the path to chiropractic and the rest is history!
After several years of seeing the benefits of chiropractic care in human health and wellness, Dr. Shanna decided it was time to bring this amazing gift to animals! She attended Parker University’s Animal Chiropractic Program in Dallas, Texas, and upon graduation was certified through the Animal Chiropractic Certification Commission (ACCC) of the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA).
Animal Chiropractic allows Dr. Shanna to use her extensive knowledge and experience while working with her passion to help animals. She is excited to meet you and your pet and to be part of the miraculous changes chiropractic care can have on their health and well-being!
**With veterinary referral, Dr. Shanna sees small and large animals at the convenience of your home or barn. Small animals may be scheduled for in-office visits as well.
